Hello friend,
How often do you feel rushed from the moment you wake up until the moment you try to wind down at the end of your day? If a background anxiety is often robbing you of a sense of living fully in the present moment, it’s also robbing you of a big part of your life. Unfortunately, feeling rushed is baked into many of our lifestyles.
When you consistently and intentionally return yourself to the present moment, your background anxiety reduces. Whether you read, or listen, or watch something, or close your eyes and guide yourself into presence to shift your state, as you repeat your journey back into presence your background anxiety will reduce naturally.
A constant buzz of anxiety that makes your feel pressured to rush is a consequence of failing to remain connected to the present moment. So, a baseline shift in how you feel occurs naturally as you practice presence shifting. You’re building your habit of living in a present state of mind and body each time you shift.
That’s why one of the clearest benefits of presence shifting is that you’ll feel less rushed during the rest of your life. Add your email here to learn more about upcoming Shift Therapy® LIVE events.

A strategy that is useful for connecting to presence and a recognizing the enormity of who and what you are is remembering that our minds automatically produce fabricated models of the world.
When you’re looking at your environment what you’re seeing is a synthesis and reproduction of the data that comes into your mind and body through your looking.
All the data that you perceive gets translated through mental models that your mind has created to represent the world to you in a way that makes sense.
The mental models that you’re automatically creating are being applied to all sorts of different things inside you.
When you observe that one of the things your models apply to is your model of yourself — of what your boundaries are, of who you are — then you can recognize your ‘models’ as aspect of your ‘stories.’
Your models are shaping the narrative that is defining you in a particular way within this world.
When you recognize that — and then take a long deep breath and drop into this moment — you can strategically let go of your mental models.
—
—
—
—
—
—
It can help to close your eyes and silently say to yourself, ‘Thank you mental model for getting me through the day. But right now, I'm dropping into peace, presence, quiet, and stillness instead.’
Rather than enacting a model that is built of the idea that you are separate from life, and that you need to maintain a container of separation in order to move through life, when you're fully present and aware that you are automatically producing mental models you can let go.

Breathe life in.
Know yourself as one with life — as life without mental models.
—
—
—
—
—
—
Just be.

Do you feel the difference?

Let's feel together for a little while.

Just being.

Anytime a thought comes into your mind (i.e., an interruption like this one), recognize the thought as an aspect of your mental model returning within you.
—
—
—
—
—
—
—
—
—
Then, let your model go again.

—
—
—
—

—
—
—
—
—
—
Take another deep breath.
—
—
—
—
—
—

—
—
—
—
—

Recognize yourself as one with life again.

Recognize yourself as life.

—
—

—
—
—
—
—
—
—
Blend into the miracle of life for ~30 seconds.
—
—
—
—
—
—
—
—
—
—
—
—
—
—
Feel peace.

Perfect.
Have a great rest of your day.
Remember that your models are defining your experience.
When you can notice your models — the rules that you have for yourself — you can make shifts to them to broaden your experience of your life.
—
—
—
—
—
—
Whenever you choose to, you can shift into presence.
You can shift into the peace of the present moment by dropping your models for a while so you can be nourished by the oneness that we share.

Talk to you soon.

Stay present,
